Introduction to E-Commerce

Weather you are t urning your passion into an online business or you are adding an e-commerce section to your brick and mortar venture, this is the course for you. This 9-hour course will examine the prerequisites needed and the tools necessary to build an e-commerce enabled website from scratch. During the course we shall discuss the hardware and software needed to start a properly organized, credible and scalable e-commerce business. Students will obtain a general overview of the elements that render an e-commerce business successful: from hardware and website architecture to shopping cart software and payment processing methods.

Prerequisite: knowledge of html or consent of instructor.
